For generations beyond memory, women have gathered to share stories, tend one another, mark the seasons, pass down wisdom, navigate life’s transitions, and remember their belonging to the living world.
Coming together is not a new idea. It is a remembering.
In a culture that can leave us isolated, overextended, and increasingly disconnected from our bodies, our communities, and the natural world, the simple act of gathering can become a profound practice of restoration.
When women sit together with safety, presence, honesty, and care, something begins to shift… We remember that healing does not always happen alone. That wisdom can live between us. That being witnessed can be medicine. That our bodies, our stories, and our lives are held within something larger than ourselves.
Our gatherings in Womenkind are an invitation to return to these original ways of being together—to the circle, to relationship, to reciprocity, to shared wisdom, and to the remembering that we belong to one another and to Mother Earth.
The circle is ancient.
The invitation is simple.

The Collective Practice of Prayer: Tending the Way of Ceremony in Community
CEREMONIA is a monthly women's community circle created by SACRED SOMA—a space devoted to the healing art and living practice of gathering.
Held in intimate circles in the Chumash Ojai Valley of the Moon, CEREMONIA brings women together through a grounded weaving of earth-based spirituality, somatic practice, and the way of council.
Each gathering offers an opportunity to slow down from the pace of everyday life and enter a different kind of space—one where presence is valued over productivity, listening becomes a form of connection, and the body is welcomed as a source of innate wisdom.
CEREMONIA is not about arriving as a finished version of yourself.
It is about coming as you are, and cultivating a more embodied and relational way of being, through an authentic relationship with the living world within and all around.
One by one, heart to heart, we join in a sacred braid of safety, vulnerability, and care to be the women we are and are becoming.
Across cultures and throughout human history, gathering has been a way of creating belonging, sharing wisdom, marking the seasons, tending transition, and remembering what matters.
CEREMONIA honors the Original Peoples of the territories in which we gather and their living traditions of ceremony, stewardship, and community that have long been carried.
We recognize that many of the practices and ways of relating that inspire our contemporary gatherings have deep Indigenous roots and belong within specific peoples, cultures, lands, lineages, and communities.
We approach these traditions with humility and reverence—not as something to claim or recreate, but as wisdom from which we may learn when invited and appropriately guided.
Our modern practice is reverently informed and supported by Indigenous wisdom carriers and ancestral knowledge keepers, alongside contemporary somatic and contemplative practices.
Together we hold a simple remembrance: We are all ancestral kin; we all belong here.

As the wise saying goes — “Many hands make light work.” — While our individual work is vital to our wellbeing, so is that which we can only do when gathered together in community.
Guided by the inspiration to unite in kindred Womenkind and strengthen our shared Life Walk, it brings me joy to join in collective journeys of the sisterly heart, mind, body and spirit.
